Maggie Elliot

We love good beer and often take it for granted. But, there’s something we should know. The growing, cultivation and distribution of hops is more challenging, impactful, and more dangerous than we might think. My next guest explains the larger world of hops so we can better appreciate what’s in our glass.

If malt is the foundation of beer flavor, then hops are the spice of beer life. However, hops are neither simple nor easy to come by. Understanding what happens between plow and pint will help us appreciate the impact hops have on our beer… and our world.
