David NilsenWe have been educating each other through the art of storytelling for millennia. Not much has changed except now we do it through movies, books, music and even beer.  Yes, beer. Flavors also have the ability to conjure stories through images and memories. Case in point, freshly baked cookies may remind you of your grandmother, or tequila may remind you of that one night in college you’d rather forget.  The better we can understand the language of flavor, the better we can understand the stories behind the beer. The trouble is, many of us aren’t fluent in the language of flavor and therefore need a guide.  My next guest is a writer and an educator who helps people understand the stories beer has to tell.

The whole premise of this podcast is better education leads to better enjoyment.  I believe the more you know about beer culture, the richer and more impactful your experiences will be. Is it crazy to think that good beer, a good meal, and good company can impact your life in positive and meaningful ways?  You tell me.
