Hawaii.
It’s a paradise that welcomes over 9 million visitors each year to the sun, the sand and the surf. However, it’s also the most remote island chain on Earth. This means that producing a product, like beer, is a herculean effort that costs far more than it does anywhere else in the world. The challenges of culture, resources, demand, cost of living and more are especially difficult and expensive. And, they require solutions that are equally difficult and costly. If necessity is the mother of invention, my next guest found a way to solve these problems, create a large distribution footprint and has done it all while being a steward of the community and the environment. In this episode, he tells a story of gaining knowledge and wisdom along his journey as he shares his version of paradise with the rest of us.
Business doesn’t always have to show double-digit growth in order to be successful. There can be more than numbers on the bottom line. Sometimes success is taking care of the environment, taking care of each other and putting the Aloha spirit into a beer that is so good you can taste it.
